Destination Guide

Spain’s islands, including Mallorca, Menorca, Ibiza, Formentera, Tenerife, Gran Canaria, Lanzarote, and Fuerteventura, offer seasonal opportunities in hotels, restaurants, events, tourism, wellness, watersports, and customer service. Mallorca has a strong luxury-resort market, with many vacancies concentrated from spring through autumn. Island culture blends Spanish and Mediterranean traditions, relaxed social life, local festivals, outdoor dining, and strong connections to the sea. Lifestyle benefits include beaches, hiking, water activities, and mild weather, although summer work can be busy and housing may be expensive or limited. EU, EEA, and Swiss citizens can generally work in Spain with the required registration. Non-EU applicants usually need an appropriate work or internship visa arranged before starting. Interns should confirm accommodation, stipend, insurance, working hours, transport, and visa sponsorship directly with the employer. Spanish language skills are useful, while English is widely used in international resorts.
