Company Info

Global Dive Jobs is a specialist recruitment and employment platform serving the international scuba-diving and watersports industry. It connects dive professionals—including instructors, divemasters, photographers, boat crew, technical staff, and resort employees—with opportunities at dive centres, liveaboards, resorts, and marine-tourism businesses worldwide. The company’s listings generally provide information about the destination, required qualifications, employer expectations, and application process. For candidates, it functions as a source of industry vacancies and practical career information rather than as a dive operator itself. Applicants should confirm the exact employer, contract terms, salary, accommodation, insurance, working schedule, and visa arrangements directly before accepting a position.

Destination Guide

Malaysia offers diving work mainly around the Perhentian Islands, Tioman Island, Langkawi, Redang, and Sabah destinations such as Mabul and Kota Kinabalu. Opportunities are seasonal and commonly include instructor, divemaster, boat crew, resort, retail, and compressor-support roles. Island life is relaxed and social, with warm water, affordable local food, strong Malay, Chinese, Indian, and indigenous cultural influences, and a slower pace than mainland cities. Accommodation can be basic during busy seasons, while transport depends on ferries or small aircraft. Foreign nationals must not work on a tourist entry; the employer normally needs to arrange the appropriate employment authorization or pass, and requirements vary by state and nationality. Budget for medical checks, insurance, travel, and possible periods between seasons. Confirm permits, housing, salary, and return-travel arrangements before relocating.
