Destination Guide

Australia is an island nation with strong employment opportunities in logistics, freight, aviation, warehousing, healthcare, construction, technology, engineering and professional services. Major opportunities are concentrated in Sydney, Melbourne, Brisbane, Perth and Adelaide, while regional areas may offer growing demand and migration pathways. Australian workplace culture is generally practical, direct, inclusive and focused on safety, punctuality and work-life balance. Lifestyle varies from busy city living to coastal communities and outdoor-focused regional areas; living costs, especially housing, can be high in major cities. Skilled workers commonly require an employer-sponsored visa, skilled migration visa or temporary work visa, depending on occupation and eligibility. Relocating usually involves arranging work rights, skills assessment, health checks, accommodation, tax registration and private health cover where required. Singapore-based gateway roles may involve different visa rules, so applicants should confirm the actual work location with FedEx.
