Job Description

The Business Development Manager – MICE is responsible for winning meetings, incentives, conferences and events business for AVANI Cypress Lakes Resort. Requirements typically include proven experience in hotel sales, MICE or event business development, strong knowledge of the Australian corporate and agency market, excellent negotiation and presentation skills, and the ability to build relationships with clients and event planners. The successful candidate is expected to generate new leads, manage key accounts, prepare proposals, conduct site inspections, achieve revenue targets and coordinate closely with operations and revenue teams. A proactive, commercially minded approach, strong communication, accurate sales administration and willingness to travel for client appointments and industry events are important.
