Destination Guide

Indonesia offers varied opportunities for hospitality sales professionals across Bali, Java, Lombok and other tourism destinations. Bali is the most internationally focused island, with strong luxury resort, wedding, conference and incentive-travel markets; Jakarta on Java provides major corporate and government accounts. Bali combines beaches, temples, ceremonies, wellness, nightlife and a relaxed outdoor lifestyle, while Jakarta is faster-paced and business-oriented. Living costs vary considerably, with tourist areas generally more expensive than local neighbourhoods. Foreign employees normally need employer sponsorship, an appropriate work permit and a limited-stay KITAS; working on a tourist visa is not permitted. Employers commonly assist with immigration, accommodation or relocation, but packages differ. Candidates should confirm salary, service charge, housing, insurance, flights and tax arrangements before accepting an offer. English is widely used in international hotels, although basic Indonesian is valuable for client and team relationships.
