Destination Guide

Singapore is a compact, modern island city with strong employment opportunities in hotels, restaurants, tourism, finance, technology, healthcare and logistics. Its hospitality sector is international and regularly hires experienced chefs, supervisors, stewarding managers, front-office staff and service professionals. Daily life is convenient, safe and well connected by an efficient MRT and bus network. The culture is multicultural, with English widely used alongside Mandarin, Malay and Tamil. Residents enjoy excellent hawker food, shopping, parks, beaches and easy access to neighbouring Southeast Asian destinations. Foreign employees generally need an employer-sponsored work pass; managers may qualify for an Employment Pass or S Pass, subject to current salary and eligibility rules. Employers usually guide successful applicants through the application process. Relocation costs, accommodation and healthcare should be discussed before accepting an offer, as Singapore has a relatively high cost of living.
