Destination Guide

Malaysia offers opportunities in luxury hotels, resorts, restaurants, events, tourism, aviation and marine recreation, particularly in Kuala Lumpur, Penang, Langkawi, Kota Kinabalu and other island destinations. Langkawi and Sabah provide a relaxed tropical lifestyle, beaches, outdoor activities and growing hospitality sectors, while larger cities offer better transport, healthcare and professional networks. Malaysian culture is diverse, combining Malay, Chinese, Indian and indigenous traditions, with English widely used in business and tourism. Living costs vary, with resort islands often having higher rental and imported-goods prices. Foreign employees normally need an employer-sponsored Employment Pass; the employer usually handles approval and immigration procedures, and the role must meet applicable salary and qualification requirements. Candidates should confirm visa eligibility, accommodation, insurance, tax obligations and local employment terms before relocating.
