Destination Guide

Singapore is a compact, highly developed island city-state and a major hub for finance, technology, trade, aviation and luxury tourism. Hospitality professionals can find opportunities in hotels, resorts, restaurants, events, airlines and travel companies, particularly in sales, revenue management and guest services. The culture is multicultural, orderly and fast-paced, with English widely used in business. Lifestyle benefits include excellent public transport, diverse food, modern healthcare and easy regional travel, although housing and daily expenses can be high. Foreign professionals generally need an employer-sponsored work pass, such as an Employment Pass for qualifying managers and professionals or an S Pass for eligible mid-skilled roles; approval depends on salary, qualifications and government criteria. Candidates should secure a written offer, confirm pass eligibility and arrange accommodation, insurance and relocation documentation before moving.
