Assistant Chief Steward Manager

Job Description

The Assistant Chief Steward Manager supports the Chief Steward in managing daily stewarding operations, including kitchen cleanliness, dishwashing, equipment sanitation, waste control, chemical handling and inventory. Candidates should have several years of stewarding or kitchen-operations experience, preferably in an upscale hotel or large hospitality property, along with supervisory experience. Good knowledge of hygiene, sanitation and workplace-safety standards is expected. The successful candidate should be organised, physically fit, hands-on and comfortable supervising a multicultural team. Strong communication, training and problem-solving skills are important, as well as flexibility to work shifts, weekends and public holidays while maintaining Shangri-La’s service and cleanliness standards.
