Destination Guide

Indonesia is an archipelago with varied opportunities in luxury hotels, resorts, restaurants, tourism, events, and travel services. Jakarta offers the broadest corporate and hospitality market, while Bali is especially strong for resort, dining, wellness, and leisure roles. Popular destinations such as Lombok, Batam, and the Raja Ampat region offer tourism work but may have fewer year-round positions. Local culture values politeness, hospitality, family, religious observance, and respect for hierarchy. Lifestyle ranges from busy urban living to relaxed beach communities, with generally affordable food and transport, though major tourist areas can be expensive. Foreign employees normally need employer sponsorship and an appropriate Indonesian work permit and stay visa; working on a tourist visa is not permitted. Relocation requires checking contract benefits, accommodation, healthcare, taxes, document legalization, and local registration before arrival.
