Destination Guide

Indonesia is an archipelago with varied opportunities across Java, Bali, Sumatra, Sulawesi, and other islands. Jakarta, on Java, is the main business center and offers careers in hospitality, finance, technology, retail, and corporate sales. Bali provides strong employment in hotels, tourism, wellness, restaurants, and events, while destinations such as Lombok, Batam, and the Moluccas offer growing resort and marine-tourism opportunities. Indonesian culture values community, respect, hospitality, and religious diversity; modest, considerate behavior is appreciated. Living costs vary, with Jakarta and Bali generally more expensive than smaller cities. Foreign workers normally need employer sponsorship, an approved work permit, and a limited-stay visa or KITAS before starting employment. Relocating candidates should confirm housing, healthcare, tax, transportation, and dependent-visa arrangements with the employer.
