Destination Guide

Indonesia offers hospitality opportunities across Java, Bali, Lombok, Sumatra, Sulawesi, and other islands, with the strongest concentration in Bali and major cities such as Jakarta, Surabaya, and Bandung. Tourism, hotels, restaurants, wellness, diving, and events are major employment sectors. Indonesian culture is community-oriented, family-focused, and diverse, with excellent regional food, religious traditions, music, and crafts. Lifestyle varies from fast-paced urban living to relaxed coastal or island communities; living costs are generally lower outside Jakarta and Bali’s main tourist areas. Foreign workers normally need employer sponsorship and the appropriate work and residence permits, rather than working on a tourist visa. Employers usually guide the KITAS and related process. Candidates should confirm accommodation, transport, medical cover, taxes, contract terms, and service-charge arrangements before relocating. Learning basic Bahasa Indonesia is highly beneficial for workplace integration and daily life.
