Destination Guide

Singapore is a compact island city-state with strong opportunities in hospitality, tourism, retail, aviation, finance, technology and healthcare. Hotel jobs are available in guest services, food and beverage, housekeeping, recreation, events and management, although competition can be high. The culture is multicultural, blending Chinese, Malay, Indian and international influences, with English widely used at work. Lifestyle is safe, efficient and convenient, with excellent public transport, varied food, shopping, parks and lively neighborhoods. Accommodation and daily expenses can be expensive, particularly near central districts, so checking housing costs is important before relocating. Foreign employees generally need an employer-sponsored work pass, such as an S Pass or Employment Pass, subject to current salary, qualification and quota rules. Employers usually guide successful candidates through the application process. Check official Singapore Ministry of Manpower requirements before accepting an offer.
