Destination Guide

Singapore is a compact, highly developed island city with strong opportunities in hotels, restaurants, tourism, retail, aviation, finance, technology, and healthcare. Hospitality roles are concentrated around Orchard Road, Marina Bay, Sentosa, and major business districts. The culture is multicultural, orderly, and fast-paced, with English widely used alongside Mandarin, Malay, and Tamil. Public transport is reliable, and accommodation, dining, and everyday services are convenient, though living costs can be high. Foreign employees normally need an employer-sponsored work pass, such as an Employment Pass, S Pass, or Work Permit, subject to eligibility and government approval. Employers usually guide successful candidates through the application process. New arrivals should budget for rent, transport, deposits, and medical insurance, and confirm salary, working hours, meals, accommodation, and pass arrangements before relocating.
