Destination Guide

The United Arab Emirates is not an island nation but a federation of seven emirates, with Dubai and Abu Dhabi offering the broadest hospitality and engineering job markets. Opportunities are available in hotels, resorts, airports, property management and facilities services. The culture combines Islamic traditions, Emirati hospitality and a highly international lifestyle; modest dress and respect for local customs are important. Cities offer modern housing, beaches, shopping, restaurants and extensive leisure activities, although summers are extremely hot. Employers normally sponsor work visas, residence permits and medical checks for overseas hires. Emirati National roles are reserved for UAE citizens and support national career development. Relocating employees should confirm housing, transport, insurance, gratuity, working hours and probation terms before accepting an offer.
