Its properties are known for attentive service, elegant facilities, restaurants, wellness offerings, and strong resort experiences. In the Philippines, Shangri-La operates several prominent properties, including city hotels and island resorts. The company places emphasis on guest satisfaction, professional development, teamwork, cultural awareness, and consistent international standards. Destination Guide

The Philippines offers strong hospitality opportunities on islands such as Boracay, Cebu, Palawan, Bohol, and Siargao, especially in resorts, restaurants, diving, wellness, and guest services. Workplaces are generally friendly and team-oriented, while Filipino culture values hospitality, family, respect, and community. Island life offers beaches, outdoor activities, fresh seafood, and a relaxed pace, although transport, internet access, healthcare, and supplies can be less convenient than in major cities. Living costs vary; resort areas may be expensive, particularly during peak tourism seasons. Filipino applicants can relocate domestically with standard employment documents. Foreign candidates normally need an employer-sponsored Alien Employment Permit and appropriate work visa, commonly a 9(g) employment visa, before working legally. Applicants should confirm accommodation, service-charge policy, transport, medical benefits, and visa support directly with Shangri-La before accepting an offer.
