Destination Guide

The Philippines offers hospitality and engineering opportunities in Manila, Cebu, Boracay, Palawan, Davao, and other resort destinations. Hotel engineering professionals may find work in luxury resorts, business hotels, hospitals, property groups, and facilities-management companies. Filipino culture is generally warm, family-oriented, community-minded, and respectful, while English is widely used in workplaces. Island life can provide beaches, diving, outdoor activities, and a relaxed lifestyle, although transport, healthcare access, utilities, and internet quality vary outside major cities. Foreign employees normally need an employer-sponsored work permit and an appropriate visa, with documentation handled through Philippine authorities; requirements should be confirmed before travel. Relocation commonly involves employer support, accommodation assistance, medical checks, and advice on tax and local registration, but these benefits are not guaranteed. Candidates should verify contract terms, location, housing, working hours, and visa sponsorship directly with Shangri-La.
