Destination Guide

Thailand offers hospitality and culinary opportunities in Bangkok as well as island destinations such as Phuket, Koh Samui, Koh Phangan and Koh Chang. Resorts, luxury hotels, restaurants, beach clubs and wellness properties regularly recruit chefs, pastry professionals, front-office staff and service teams, with hiring often increasing before peak tourist seasons. Thai culture values respect, politeness, family, Buddhist traditions and the concept of sanuk, or enjoying life. Island living offers beaches, outdoor activities, fresh seafood and a relaxed pace, although transport, housing and healthcare can be more limited than in Bangkok. Foreign workers generally need a Thai Non-Immigrant B visa and a work permit arranged with employer support; requirements vary by nationality and role. Candidates should confirm accommodation, service charge, insurance, taxes and transport before accepting an offer. Learning basic Thai is highly beneficial for work and daily life.
