Job Description

The Junior Sous Chef (Pastry) supports the Pastry Chef in producing high-quality desserts, pastries, breads and plated sweets for hotel restaurants, banquets and other outlets. Candidates should have professional pastry experience, preferably in a luxury hotel or upscale culinary environment, along with knowledge of baking techniques, food safety, hygiene and kitchen cost control. The role requires practical leadership skills, attention to detail, creativity and the ability to train and supervise junior colleagues. The successful candidate is expected to maintain consistent standards, manage preparation and service efficiently, minimise waste, follow Shangri-La procedures and work professionally in a fast-paced, multicultural kitchen.
