Destination Guide

Singapore is a modern island city-state with strong opportunities in hospitality, tourism, food and beverage, retail, finance, technology, and healthcare. Its hotel industry is international and multicultural, with roles available at luxury resorts, business hotels, restaurants, and event venues. Local culture combines Chinese, Malay, Indian, and Western influences, reflected in its festivals, languages, and famous hawker food. The lifestyle is safe, efficient, and convenient, supported by excellent public transport, healthcare, and shopping. Housing can be expensive, especially near central areas, so many employees share apartments or live farther from the city centre. Foreign workers generally need an employer-sponsored work pass; eligibility depends on salary, qualifications, experience, and the applicable pass category. New arrivals should budget for rent, transport, deposits, insurance, and daily expenses, while checking current immigration requirements before relocating.
