Destination Guide

The United Arab Emirates is not an island, but a federation of seven emirates on the Arabian Peninsula, with Dubai and Abu Dhabi offering the widest range of hospitality opportunities. Hotels, resorts, restaurants, event venues and tourism companies regularly recruit coordinators, supervisors and department specialists. The culture combines Emirati traditions with a highly international lifestyle; modest dress and respectful behaviour are appreciated, particularly in public and religious settings. Life is convenient and modern, with excellent shopping, dining, transport and entertainment, although summer temperatures are extremely high. Employers normally arrange a work permit and residence visa after hiring, with medical checks and Emirates ID registration required. Candidates should confirm whether accommodation, meals, transport, insurance and annual flights are included in the offer. UAE nationals applying through Emiratization programmes may receive additional career-development support. Expatriates should budget carefully for housing, deposits and school costs if relocating with family.
