Destination Guide

Hong Kong offers diverse opportunities in hotels, restaurants, tourism, retail, finance, technology, healthcare, and professional services. Its culture combines Cantonese traditions, international influences, festivals, excellent food, and a fast-paced urban lifestyle. Accommodation can be expensive, especially on Hong Kong Island and in Kowloon, but public transport is efficient and many areas are connected by the MTR. Beaches, hiking trails, outlying islands, and country parks provide quieter escapes from the city. Overseas workers normally need an employment visa sponsored by a local employer, with eligibility depending on qualifications, salary, and the role; employers typically assist with the application. A valid passport, medical or background documents, and proof of employment may be required. Applicants should confirm current immigration rules before relocating.
