Destination Guide

Hong Kong offers technical and hospitality opportunities in hotels, property management, construction, facilities services, transport, retail, and commercial buildings. The culture blends Chinese traditions with international influences, and Cantonese is widely spoken, while English is common in business and tourism. Life is fast-paced, highly connected, and convenient, with excellent public transport, varied dining, shopping, hiking, beaches, and vibrant neighbourhoods. Accommodation can be expensive, especially on Hong Kong Island and in central districts, so many workers live in Kowloon or the New Territories. Overseas employees normally need an employment visa sponsored by their employer before starting work; approval depends on qualifications, experience, and a genuine job offer. Applicants should confirm salary, accommodation, medical coverage, working hours, and visa support directly with the employer. A valid passport, certified qualifications, references, and a medical examination may be requested.
