Destination Guide

The Philippines is an archipelago with strong employment opportunities in hotels, resorts, restaurants, tourism, healthcare, business services, and remote work. Popular hospitality destinations include Boracay, Cebu, Palawan, Bohol, Siargao, and Metro Manila. Life varies from busy urban living to relaxed island communities, with affordable local food, warm weather, beaches, festivals, and close-knit social culture. English is widely used in workplaces, although Filipino and regional languages are common in daily life. Foreign nationals generally need an employer-sponsored work visa or permit, while Filipino applicants do not require immigration authorization. Relocating employees should budget for accommodation, transport, health insurance, deposits, and seasonal price changes in resort areas. Island locations may have limited healthcare, shopping, and transport compared with Manila. It is advisable to confirm accommodation, staff meals, transportation, contract terms, visa sponsorship, and weather-related travel arrangements before accepting a position.
