Destination Guide

The United Arab Emirates is not an island nation, but it offers coastal living, beaches and resort communities on the Arabian Gulf. Major hospitality opportunities are concentrated in Dubai, Abu Dhabi, Ras Al Khaimah and Fujairah, particularly in hotels, resorts, events, restaurants and tourism. Life is modern, international and convenient, with excellent transport, shopping and dining, although summer temperatures are extremely high. The culture is Muslim and traditionally respectful; modest dress in public places, responsible behavior and awareness of local customs are important. Employers usually arrange an employment visa, work permit, medical examination and Emirates ID after a formal offer. Candidates should not work on a tourist visa and should confirm accommodation, transport, insurance, gratuity and working hours before relocating. Dubai and Abu Dhabi are expensive, while employer-provided housing can significantly reduce costs. UAE experience is valuable for building a career in luxury hospitality and events.
