Destination Guide

Indonesia offers hospitality opportunities across Bali, Java, Lombok, Batam and other resort destinations. Bali has particularly strong demand in hotels, restaurants, villas and tourism services, while Jakarta and other large cities provide opportunities in business hotels and large-scale catering. The culture is diverse, welcoming and community-oriented, with regional languages, religious traditions and distinctive local cuisines. Lifestyle varies from busy urban living to a more relaxed beach or island environment; housing, transport and costs also differ considerably. Foreign employees usually need employer sponsorship and an appropriate work permit and stay visa, commonly arranged through the hiring company. Working on a tourist visa is not permitted. Candidates should confirm the contract, accommodation, insurance, tax arrangements and relocation support before moving. Learning basic Indonesian, respecting local customs and allowing time for immigration processing will make relocation easier.
