Destination Guide

The United Arab Emirates is not an island but a federation of seven emirates, with Dubai and Abu Dhabi offering the largest concentration of hospitality opportunities. Hotels, resorts, restaurants, airlines, tourism companies, and event venues regularly recruit international staff. The culture combines Islamic traditions, Emirati heritage, and a highly international lifestyle; modest dress and respectful behaviour are expected in public and professional settings. Life is modern and convenient, with excellent transport, shopping, beaches, dining, and entertainment, although summer temperatures are extremely high. Most expatriates enter on an employer-sponsored employment visa, usually arranged after a formal offer and medical screening. Employers may also provide accommodation, transport, meals, medical insurance, annual leave, and return flights, depending on the package. Candidates should confirm contract terms, probation, housing, working hours, and visa costs before relocating.
