Destination Guide

Indonesia offers hospitality opportunities across Bali, Java, Lombok, Batam, and other resort islands. Bali has the largest international tourism market, with jobs in hotels, villas, restaurants, wellness, events, and guest services; Jakarta and Surabaya provide more corporate and urban opportunities. Local culture values politeness, community, religious traditions, and respectful dress, while lifestyles range from busy city living to relaxed beach communities. Living costs vary considerably, with Bali’s popular areas often more expensive than smaller cities. Foreign nationals normally need an employer-sponsored work permit and appropriate limited-stay work visa; working on a tourist visa is not permitted. Employers usually guide the immigration process, but candidates should confirm the exact KITAS, tax, insurance, and contract requirements before relocating. English is valuable in international hotels, while Bahasa Indonesia helps with daily life and integration.
