Its portfolio includes the Shangri-La, Kerry, JEN, and Traders brands. Shangri-La properties are known for attentive service, refined facilities, strong food and beverage operations, and distinctive local experiences. In the Philippines, the group operates prominent hotels and resorts, including properties in Manila, Cebu, and Boracay. Destination Guide

The Philippines offers hospitality, engineering, construction, facilities, tourism, and marine-related opportunities, especially in Manila, Cebu, Boracay, Palawan, and other resort destinations. The culture is friendly, family-oriented, and strongly influenced by Filipino, Spanish, American, and Asian traditions; English is widely used in business and hotels. Lifestyle varies from busy urban living to relaxed beach or island communities, with generally warm weather, affordable local food, and active social life. Foreign workers normally need an employer-sponsored work permit and appropriate visa, commonly an Alien Employment Permit and a 9(g) pre-arranged employee visa; requirements can change, so confirmation with the employer and the Bureau of Immigration is essential. Relocating staff should budget for housing deposits, transport, health insurance, and document processing, while checking accommodation, service charge, working hours, and benefits before accepting an offer.
