Destination Guide

Malaysia offers varied career opportunities in banking, financial services, technology, shared services, manufacturing, tourism, and retail. Kuala Lumpur and Selangor are the main employment hubs, while Penang, Johor, Sabah, and Sarawak also provide opportunities in technology, industry, tourism, and services. Malaysian culture blends Malay, Chinese, Indian, Indigenous, and international influences, reflected in its languages, festivals, food, and welcoming social life. Living costs are moderate compared with many regional financial centers, although central Kuala Lumpur is more expensive. Public transport is strongest in major cities; cars are useful elsewhere.
