Destination Guide

Indonesia offers opportunities in logistics, supply chain, technology, manufacturing, tourism, finance, and international business. Java, especially Jakarta, is the main employment center and provides the broadest professional network, transport links, and expatriate services. Bali offers a relaxed lifestyle and strong tourism economy, while Sumatra, Kalimantan, Sulawesi, and eastern islands provide opportunities in resources, infrastructure, shipping, and regional operations. Indonesian culture values hospitality, community, respect for hierarchy, and religious diversity. Living costs vary considerably; Jakarta is busier and more expensive, whereas many other cities offer a slower pace. Foreign employees generally need employer-sponsored work authorization, commonly a work permit and limited-stay visa, arranged before employment begins. Regulations can change, so candidates should confirm requirements with DHL and Indonesian immigration authorities.
