Job Description

The Ocean Freight Specialist manages international ocean-freight shipments from booking through delivery, coordinating with customers, shipping lines, overseas offices, customs brokers and transport providers. Typical requirements include experience in freight forwarding or ocean logistics, knowledge of import and export procedures, shipping documentation, Incoterms and supply-chain systems, along with strong communication and organisational skills. DHL expects a customer-focused, detail-oriented candidate who can manage deadlines, resolve shipment issues, maintain accurate records and work effectively in a fast-paced international environment. Experience with Australian customs processes and relevant forwarding software is advantageous.
