Destination Guide

The United Kingdom offers opportunities in transport, warehousing, logistics, healthcare, technology, construction, hospitality, and professional services. Its culture is diverse, with a strong focus on punctuality, personal responsibility, and workplace safety. Lifestyle varies from busy cities such as London, Manchester, and Birmingham to quieter coastal and rural areas. Housing and transport costs can be high, particularly in southern England, while Scotland, Wales, and northern England may offer lower living costs. EU and other overseas applicants usually need the right to work before starting employment. A visa may be required, but sponsorship depends on the occupation, salary, immigration rules, and the employer’s approval; HGV driving roles are not automatically eligible. Candidates should check current GOV.UK requirements and confirm whether DHL offers sponsorship. Relocating workers should budget for accommodation, transport, healthcare-related costs, and initial living expenses.
