Destination Guide

The United Kingdom offers strong opportunities in warehousing, logistics, transport, manufacturing, retail and e-commerce, particularly around London, the Midlands, Manchester, Leeds, Bristol and major ports. Workplace culture generally values punctuality, teamwork, clear communication, safety and respectful people management. Life ranges from busy urban centres to quieter rural communities, with extensive public transport but high housing costs in London and the southeast. Weather is changeable, and shift-based logistics work can involve early starts, nights or weekends. UK and Irish citizens have the easiest right-to-work arrangements. Most other nationals need a suitable visa, commonly the Skilled Worker route, although eligibility depends on the occupation, salary and employer sponsorship. Candidates should confirm DHL sponsorship, check current immigration rules, arrange accommodation, obtain a National Insurance number and budget for rent, transport, taxes and healthcare-related costs before relocating.
