Job Description

The Maintenance & Testing Engineer supports the safe, reliable operation of NSW passenger rail assets. The role typically involves planning and carrying out maintenance and testing activities, investigating equipment faults, reviewing technical documentation, recording results, and ensuring work meets rail standards, engineering procedures, and safety requirements. Candidates are generally expected to hold an engineering qualification, have experience with rail, electrical, mechanical, or systems maintenance, and understand testing, commissioning, asset management, and compliance processes. Strong analytical, reporting, communication, and problem-solving skills are important.
