Company Info

UGL is an Australian engineering, construction and asset-services company and part of the CIMIC Group. It delivers infrastructure, rail and transport, energy, resources, defence, water and facilities-management services for government and commercial clients. The business works across the full asset lifecycle, from project development and design through construction, operations, maintenance and asset transition. UGL employs a large, technically diverse workforce across Australia and supports major national projects, including complex transport, energy and industrial facilities. Its roles commonly involve collaboration between engineering, project delivery, operations, commercial and corporate teams. The company places emphasis on safety, operational reliability, sustainability, professional standards and long-term client relationships. A property divestment position would likely support the efficient management, compliance and disposal of assets held or managed within a large infrastructure-services portfolio.

Destination Guide

Australia offers opportunities in infrastructure, construction, engineering, property, mining, energy, healthcare, technology and professional services. Major employment centres include Sydney, Melbourne, Brisbane, Perth, Adelaide and Canberra, while regional areas can offer strong demand in resources, transport and public infrastructure. Australian workplaces are generally practical, collaborative and relatively informal, with clear attention to safety, equality and work-life balance. Lifestyle varies from busy city living to coastal, rural and outdoor environments; housing and transport costs can be high, particularly in Sydney and Melbourne. Skilled migrants may explore employer-sponsored visas, the Skilled Independent or State Nominated pathways, and temporary graduate options, depending on occupation and eligibility. Before relocating, check current visa rules, skills assessments, licensing requirements, tax, healthcare and rental conditions. International applicants should also budget for flights, accommodation, bond payments and settling-in costs.
