Job Description

UGL is seeking a Senior Maintenance & Testing Engineer to support passenger rail operations in New South Wales. The role typically requires an engineering qualification, substantial experience in rail maintenance, testing and commissioning, and knowledge of electrical, mechanical or control systems. Candidates should understand asset management, maintenance standards, safety requirements, fault investigation and technical documentation. Experience with rail assurance, reliability-centred maintenance, compliance processes and contractor coordination is highly valued. The successful applicant will be expected to lead technical activities, improve asset performance, resolve complex maintenance issues, communicate effectively with operations and project teams, and uphold UGL’s safety, quality and environmental standards. Rail-industry experience and eligibility to work in Australia may also be required.
