The E&I Technician – Hazardous Areas role involves installing, inspecting, testing, maintaining and fault-finding electrical and instrumentation systems in hazardous industrial environments. Applicants would generally need an Australian electrical trade qualification or equivalent, relevant electrical licensing, and proven experience with hazardous-area equipment and inspections. EEHA (Electrical Equipment in Hazardous Areas) competency, instrumentation experience, industrial maintenance skills and familiarity with Australian standards are highly desirable. The candidate is expected to work safely, follow permit-to-work and isolation procedures, read technical drawings, complete accurate documentation and cooperate effectively with supervisors and other trades. Flexibility for site-based work, rostered shifts, travel and medical or drug-and-alcohol screening may also be required.
