Job Description

The OHLE Supervisor oversees the safe and efficient installation, testing, maintenance and commissioning of overhead line equipment on rail infrastructure projects. Requirements typically include substantial experience in overhead wiring or electrical rail systems, knowledge of Australian rail standards, construction procedures, drawings and work permits, and the ability to lead crews and subcontractors. Relevant electrical, rail or trade qualifications, rail safety competencies, a construction white card and a valid driver’s licence are commonly expected. The successful candidate should demonstrate strong leadership, safety awareness, quality control, reporting and problem-solving skills. Flexibility to work nights, weekends, regional locations and project rosters may be required.
