Destination Guide

Australia offers opportunities across aviation, logistics, mining, tourism, healthcare, construction, technology, and professional services. Major employment hubs include Sydney, Melbourne, Brisbane, Perth, Adelaide, and regional centres. Australian workplace culture is generally practical, inclusive, safety-conscious, and relatively informal, with strong expectations around punctuality and communication. Lifestyle varies from city living and beaches to regional communities and outdoor recreation. Living costs can be high, particularly for housing in major cities, while Perth and regional Western Australia may suit aviation and resource-sector workers. Visa options include employer-sponsored visas, skilled migration, working holiday visas, and student pathways; eligibility depends on occupation, qualifications, age, English ability, and sponsorship. New arrivals should arrange a tax file number, bank account, accommodation, transport, and appropriate work rights before starting. A full Australian driver’s licence or recognised equivalent is often useful for airport roles.
