Company Info

Royal Mail Group is one of the United Kingdom's best-known postal and delivery organisations. Its main operations include Royal Mail, which provides letter and parcel delivery services across the UK, and international and logistics activities supporting business and consumer customers. The company operates a large national network of delivery offices, sorting centres, vehicles and post offices, serving millions of addresses. Royal Mail employs thousands of people in delivery, transport, engineering, customer service, technology and corporate roles. Its work is particularly important during busy periods such as Christmas and major online-shopping events. Employees commonly receive structured training, holiday entitlement, pension benefits and opportunities for progression, although working conditions can be physically demanding and weather-dependent. The organisation continues to adapt to changing postal volumes, e-commerce growth, automation and evolving customer expectations.

Destination Guide

The United Kingdom offers employment opportunities in logistics, transport, healthcare, technology, construction, finance, hospitality and public services. Its culture is diverse, generally informal and shaped by strong regional traditions, with English widely used in workplaces. Lifestyle varies from busy cities such as London, Manchester and Edinburgh to quieter coastal and rural communities. Housing and transport costs can be high, especially in southern England, while public transport is more affordable and extensive in major cities. Most overseas applicants need a visa and must secure an eligible sponsored job unless they already have UK work rights through citizenship, settled status or another immigration route. A standard delivery-driver position may not qualify for sponsorship, so applicants should check the current Skilled Worker occupation and salary rules. Before relocating, arrange suitable accommodation, confirm right-to-work requirements, budget for deposits and living costs, and check driving-licence conversion rules.
