Destination Guide

The United Kingdom offers employment in logistics, transport, healthcare, technology, hospitality, construction, finance and professional services. Its culture combines regional traditions, multicultural communities, historic towns and modern cities. Lifestyle varies from busy urban living in London, Manchester or Birmingham to quieter coastal and rural areas. Public transport is extensive, although a car may be useful for delivery work outside cities. Living costs, especially housing, are high in major locations. Overseas applicants should check whether their role qualifies for a UK work visa; a sponsored Skilled Worker visa generally requires an eligible occupation, approved employer and minimum salary, while visitor status does not permit employment. Irish citizens have separate residence and work rights under the Common Travel Area. Plan for accommodation, National Insurance, tax, healthcare access and local driving requirements before relocating.
