Job Description

This casual support worker role in Hastings involves helping people live safely and independently in their homes or community. Typical duties may include personal care, household support, meal preparation, medication reminders, transport, companionship and following individual support plans. Candidates are expected to be reliable, patient, respectful and confident working with people who may have disabilities, health conditions or complex needs. A relevant support-work qualification or experience in aged care, disability or community services is advantageous. Applicants generally need good communication skills, a full or restricted New Zealand driver licence where required, legal entitlement to work in New Zealand, and the ability to complete police, reference and safety checks.
