Destination Guide

Spain’s islands, including Mallorca, Tenerife, Gran Canaria, Ibiza, Menorca, Lanzarote and Fuerteventura, offer strong employment opportunities in hotels, restaurants, resorts, tourism, events, wellness and marine activities. Hospitality work is often seasonal, with the busiest periods from spring through autumn, although major resorts operate year-round. Island culture combines relaxed social life, local festivals, seafood, outdoor activities and strong regional traditions. Lifestyle benefits include beaches, warm weather and an active international community, while housing can be expensive and limited in popular destinations. EU, EEA and Swiss citizens can work without a visa but must complete registration requirements. Non-EU applicants generally need an employer-sponsored work permit before starting employment. Relocation planning should include accommodation, transport, healthcare registration and local tax arrangements.
