Destination Guide

Bali is Indonesia’s best-known tourism island and offers strong employment opportunities in hotels, resorts, restaurants, villas, wellness, events, and travel services. Its Hindu culture is visible in daily offerings, temples, ceremonies, dance, and traditional arts, while popular areas such as Legian, Seminyak, Kuta, and Ubud have lively international communities. Lifestyle is generally warm and social, with beaches, outdoor activities, cafés, and a relatively relaxed pace, although traffic and seasonal tourism can be demanding. Foreign nationals normally need an employer-supported work authorization and the appropriate Indonesian work and residence visa; working on a tourist visa is not permitted. Candidates should confirm sponsorship, contract terms, taxes, accommodation, medical cover, and relocation support before accepting a role. Housing costs vary considerably, and learning basic Indonesian is useful for workplace and everyday communication.
