Destination Guide

The United Arab Emirates is not an island, but it is a Gulf destination with coastal cities, beaches, and waterfront communities. Dubai and Abu Dhabi offer strong opportunities in hotels, restaurants, tourism, retail, aviation, events, and business services. The culture blends Emirati traditions with a large international population; modest dress and respectful behavior are expected, especially during Ramadan and at religious sites. Lifestyle can be highly modern, with excellent dining, shopping, public transport, beaches, and entertainment, although summer heat is intense and living costs can be high. Most foreign employees need an employer-sponsored residence visa, work permit, medical examination, and Emirates ID. Employers commonly arrange or support visa processing. Before relocating, confirm salary, accommodation, transport, insurance, probation terms, annual leave, and return-ticket provisions in writing. Dubai is well connected internationally and is generally convenient for newcomers.
