New Zealand offers hospitality opportunities in hotels, restaurants, resorts, events and tourism, with stronger demand in Christchurch, Queenstown, Auckland, Wellington and major seasonal destinations. The country is culturally diverse, with Māori heritage and values forming an important part of national life; respectful communication and a friendly, practical workplace style are valued. Lifestyle highlights include clean cities, outdoor recreation, beaches, mountains and a generally relaxed pace, although housing and transport costs can be significant. Skilled overseas applicants usually need an appropriate work visa, commonly an Accredited Employer Work Visa supported by an eligible employer.
