Job Description

The Executive Chef leads all culinary operations at Sheraton Christchurch, including restaurant, banquet, room-service and kitchen production. Requirements typically include extensive experience as an Executive Chef or senior culinary leader, strong knowledge of food safety and cost control, menu-development expertise, and recognised culinary qualifications. The successful candidate is expected to manage, coach and inspire kitchen teams, maintain consistently high food and presentation standards, control labour and purchasing costs, work closely with hotel leadership, and deliver memorable guest experiences. Flexibility, commercial awareness, creativity, calm decision-making and the ability to work across busy service periods are essential. Experience in an international hotel or luxury hospitality environment is highly advantageous.
