Destination Guide

Indonesia offers hospitality opportunities across Java, Bali, Lombok, Batam and other tourism destinations, while Jakarta is the country’s main business center and sits on Java. Hotel careers are concentrated in luxury resorts, city hotels, restaurants, events and travel services. Indonesian culture values warmth, respect, community and polite communication; English is useful in international hotels, while basic Bahasa Indonesia helps with daily life. Jakarta provides extensive shopping, dining and transport options, but traffic, humidity and a fast-paced urban lifestyle can be challenging. Bali and Lombok offer a more relaxed coastal lifestyle, though living costs and job competition can be high. Foreign workers normally need an employer-sponsored work authorization and KITAS, with the company handling immigration and employment approvals. Secure a written offer and confirm salary, housing, insurance, taxes and relocation support before moving.
