Destination Guide

The United Arab Emirates offers strong opportunities in hotels, restaurants, tourism, retail, aviation, events, finance and technology, particularly in Dubai and Abu Dhabi. Its culture combines Emirati traditions with a highly international population, so respect for local customs, modest public behavior and awareness of Islamic holidays are important. Dubai provides a modern, energetic lifestyle with excellent transport, shopping, beaches and entertainment, although rent and summer heat can be challenging. Most overseas employees require employer-sponsored residence and work visas; the employer generally arranges medical testing, Emirates ID processing and labor permits. Relocation packages may include accommodation, transport, meals, flights or health insurance, depending on the contract. Candidates should confirm the basic salary, service charge, housing, working hours, leave entitlement and visa sponsorship before accepting an offer.
